From Home to Dome (2016) - 9'19"

This video was produced using footage and stills taken by Wesley Foote. Mr. Foote was a young engineer based in Boston, who was asked to work on the construction of the American pavilion at Expo 67 in Montreal. The dome was designed by Buckminster Fuller and became one of the iconic architectural statements of Expo.

He moved there with his wife, Linda, and two children and over the time he worked on the project shot 8mm footage and took many Kodachrome slides. In 2016 he entrusted me with this material and I recorded interviews with him and his wife in order to understand their experience.

This film is dedicated to Linda and Wesley Foote and their 1967 adventure.
